Wall of Fame

A niche collection can consist of autographs from the stars of TV shows past. If you want to expand your collection in this area, try adopting my "send 'em a CD or DVD cover" philosophy. Why? Because the studios are now releasing entire seasons of some of their most beloved TV comedies on DVD. Some examples that come to mind are M*A*S*H, Gilligan's Island, Sex and the City, Petticoat Junction, Mister Ed and Friends. The list seems endless.

Use these DVD releases as windows of opportunity. One of the most popular sitcoms ever was the 1960s spy spoof Get Smart. Long before the wacky world of Austin Powers, we were entertained by Don Adams as Maxwell Smart, a.k.a. Agent 86 (2160 Century Park E., Los Angeles, CA 90067) and Barbara Feldon a.k.a. Agent 99 (14 E. 7th St., New York, NY 10021). Feldon readily signed the beautiful photo pictured here. Once the first season of GS is released later this year, use the cover and inserts as an effective way to get an autograph.
