Tuesday, September 11, 2001, as much of the world is aware, was a date of infamy and horror. I do not have the words to rightly express the multitude of emotions I felt as I watched the second plane hit the World Trade Center, learned of the attack on the Pentagon, and heard of the plane that crashed onto the soil of my home state of Pennsylvania. Sometimes there are just not enough words.

For those that have lost loved ones in this tragedy, my heart goes out to you. My prayer is that this will be the last of such acts of hatred and that justice will be sought. Justice does not mean revenge. We cannot, if we wish to advance as a society, retaliate against hate with hate. We've already watched what hate can produce. We must get through this and to do that, we must stand by our fellow citizens, fly our flags, and treat others -no matter what race, religion, or creed they are- in the way that we would like them to treat us.
